Andrea Bellini

Andrea Bellini is the Director of the Centre d'Art Contemporain Genève and the artistic director of the Biennale of Moving Images since 2012. Previously, he was co-director of Castello di Rivoli, director of the Artissima fair, curator at MoMA PS1 and was the editor of Flash Art International magazine in New York. He has curated numerous solo exhibitions, including those of Marina Abramović, Hannah Black, Chuquimamani-Condori, Roberto Cuoghi, Aria Dean, Chiara Fumai, Ernie Gehr, Giorgio Griffa, Sonia Kacem, John McCraken, Nicole Miller, Philippe Parreno, Thomas Schütte and Hannah Weinberger. He has conceived major projects that link visual arts to theater or writing practices and their possible interactions within contemporary visual and digital culture, such as the recent exhibitions From Concrete to Liquid to Spoken Worlds to the Word and Scrivere Disegnando. He participates in several commissions for the acquisition of works for public collections and has also given international lectures in academic and artistic institutions.
